Reverse CrossGroups & SocialReverse Cross: personal stats and group standings
Your time, made fairer
Reverse Cross now measures the time you actively spend solving. Daily and Practice puzzles can be paused when life interrupts, and the server keeps the official clock so a slow connection or a refreshed page cannot quietly rewrite the result.
Your displayed timer stays useful while you play, but standings and personal records always use the authoritative completed time. That keeps a close finish meaningful without making an honest pause count against you.
A Reverse Cross scorecard
Your scorecard now includes Reverse Cross games started and completed, completion rate, fastest time, typical time, and both your current and longest Daily streak. Finish an eligible Daily and a compact recap appears with your latest personal context.
Practice remains a place to experiment. Practice puzzles do not change your Daily streak or competitive statistics. Daily puzzles from before this August 31 statistics launch, and puzzles whose solution was revealed, are kept out of those totals too.
Reverse Cross joins group standings
Open a group's Today page and use the Daily game picker to switch between Letter Golf and Reverse Cross. Games with activity rise to the top of the picker, but both stay available even when nobody has started yet. Only the selected game's standings are shown, so scores and times are never mixed into one leaderboard.
A Reverse Cross start shows as Playing. Once someone finishes, the group sees a friendly rounded time and rank. The underlying exact time decides the order, and players with exactly equal times share the same place.
Comparable, and spoiler-free
Group results are compared only when everyone played the same Daily puzzle definition, including its language, difficulty, and content versions. A regenerated or changed puzzle cannot be folded into an older leaderboard by accident.
Groups reveal only what belongs in standings: a member's display name, whether they have not played, are playing, or have completed, and their final result. Entry banks, placements, solutions, and private scorecard details stay private.
Built to remember the result
Refreshes, retries, account merges, and repaired history all use the same saved play records. A completion is counted once, and a retry can repair a missed personal-stat update without creating a second game or streak day.
This release completes the competitive timing and statistics foundation for Reverse Cross. The next chapter is calibration: using real play signals and careful playtesting to make future difficulty presets more consistent, interesting, and fun.
